#1844 Pierbot

A robot in the form of a seaside pier. It's suspended over a stretch of seawater, and consists of a large, flat, rectangular surface and a little cuboid building near the end. The struts of the pier are on either side, with four pairs visible, and take the form of banded robot legs. The robot's face is on the building, above a door and a couple of sets of windows. There are guardrails along the side of the pier, with crossed bars in each section, and a row of tall lights along the centre. At the far end of the pier, behind the building, is a short section for observing the view uninterrupted. People are dotted along the pier, including someone fishing from the very end. The building has two banded arms, raised in welcome, and the robot is smiling happily.

With Britain's supply of traditional seaside piers dwindling, it makes sense to have a back up. Pierbot paddles around the coast, looking for likely spots to park itself and provide amusement for tourists and locals alike.
